What To Do When You Find a Cat
Keep the Cat Safe
If possible, move the cat somewhere secure and away from traffic or other animals.
Take a Photo
A clear photo can make it much easier for someone to recognize their cat.
Check for Identification
Look for a collar or other identification. A veterinarian or shelter may also be able to scan for a microchip.
Share the Information
Submit the found-cat report and share it with local neighbors and community groups.
